Before You Clock In

There's no fixed script. What happens to you depends on who you've met and what you've already chosen, so no two runs read the same way. Saying no to a big decision usually doesn't end your run, it turns your story toward a different thread entirely, the way an old gamebook sends you to a different page depending on what you picked. Every scene you've been through is logged in Your path so far, so you can look back and see how you got wherever you ended up.

Cred

Whether you're actually good at your job. Rolled constantly, low Cred makes hard things harder.

Political Capital

Whether the building likes you, politically. Also rolled constantly, and it's the difference between a promotion and a demotion nobody announces.

Sanity

Whether you're still fine. Composure under pressure. Let it run out and you'll notice.

Coffee

Whether you're running on fumes. It doesn't do much on its own, until it hits zero, and then it does quite a lot.

Standing

A quiet average of how the people you've actually met feel about you. Nobody mentions it out loud. It's mentioned here because somebody should.
