How ready are you
for sleep tonight?

Good Night reads your HRV, resting heart rate, and how hard your day was, then gives you one evening score. Current tells you how well you recovered overnight. Good Night tells you how primed you are before you get into bed.

Evening Readiness Score

A 0 to 100 score for tonight, from Sleep Ready down to Wired. It reads how primed you are before bed.

Wind Down

Tonight's bedtime with a live countdown, one guidance line, a checklist, and a heart-rate trend so you know you're actually calming down.

Home Screen Widget

Your evening number on the home screen, ready when you start thinking about bed. No app to open.

Detected Bedtime

Good Night learns your bedtime from your actual sleep history instead of asking you to set one. You can still set it manually.

History & Streaks

7, 14, and 30-day readiness trends with streak tracking. The trend tells you more than any single night.

Scored against you, not a population.

Good Night reads four signals from Apple Health and weighs them against your own history: a rolling baseline built from your data, not a benchmark meant for someone else. A quiet day reads differently than a hard one, because the score knows what your quiet days look like.

HRV

Heart rate variability is the clearest window into whether your nervous system has settled down for the night.

Resting Heart Rate

A resting heart rate that's still elevated in the evening is a sign your body hasn't shifted into rest yet.

Activity Load

How hard you pushed today. A big training day changes what a good night needs to look like.

Sleep Debt

The past week of sleep, as context. Debt you've carried in shapes how ready tonight really is.

Forward-looking, not a report card.

Most sleep tools grade last night after it's over. Good Night runs before bed, when you can still do something about it. It's a nudge, not a verdict.

Your baseline. Not theirs.

Population averages flatten individual variation. Good Night scores every signal against a rolling window of your own data, so the number actually means something for you.

A number is a start. This is what to do about it.

The Wind Down tab turns tonight's score into action. It shows your bedtime with a live countdown, one line of guidance, and a short wind-down checklist. A heart-rate chart over the last 12 hours answers the only question that matters at 10pm: am I actually calming down? In the zone, trending down, or still elevated. You can see it settle in real time.

I track my health data obsessively, and I built Current to turn my mornings into one number. But mornings are only half the day. By evening I wanted the same clarity in reverse: not how I slept, but how ready I am to. Good Night is the other half.
